TOUR OPTION 1: WALTZING THROUGH HISTORY: WALTZING MATILDA CENTRE
Join a tour of the first museum in the world dedicated to a song. The Centre uses the very latest digital technology to tell the stories of our community and of the song. Included in a visit to the Centre is the Outback Regional Gallery with rotating exhibitions throughout the year and the historical Qantilda Museum that will take you on a trip down memory lane with over 5000 objects on display.
TOUR OPTION 2: STARLIT STORIES: ROYAL OPEN AIR THEATRE
Built in 1918, owned and operated by the Evert family since 1938 and now one of only two open air theatres operating in Australia. Open during the day as a working museum, transformed at night into an experience to remember, sitting back in the canvas deck chairs watching the stars both on screen and above.
TOUR OPTION 3: OUTBACK OASIS: WINTON DATE FARM DELIGHTS
A visit to Winton Dates is like no other, nestled in the backyard of the Doak’s property is a crop of hand pollinated date trees consisting of 10 different varieties with exotic names such as, Medjool, Khalas, Fard and Barhee.
Note: Buses for tours will leave from the entrance of the Shire Hall. Numbers are limited, so those that registered will be given first preference for tickets and seats.
