Mayors, Deputy Mayors, Councillors and Chief Executive Officers are invited to attend the 2026 WQAC Assembly in Brisbane
The WQAC is a collaboration of the three regional organisations of councils in Western Queensland established in 2020, covering 63 percent of the State and including 25 local governments.
The WQAC Assembly 2026, will:
Continue to focus on addressing the regional priority issues of Housing, Roads & Transport, Connectivity and Sustainability, as well as Water and Sewerage Infrastructure, Waste Management, Disaster Funding, Regional Airline Services, Childcare, and 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games opportunities.
Provide an opportunity to engage with State and Federal Ministers and Shadows, Members and Senators, Directors General and senior Industry leaders.
Grow networks and relationships to promote and represent Western Queensland.
