T.I.E. Constructions
TIE Constructions have been Pump’n Up The North for the last 15 years somewhere around western Queensland.
Over our time working within the civil construction sector in the remote western regions, we have identified real downsides to the traditional standpipe on the hire market. The main issue being their size and weight, causing massive costs accrued for setup and relocation.
To move each standpipe is a major undertaking. Currently there is a need to hire up to four contractors, a crane, a prime mover with a double trailer and a Ute.
Generally, each move could take a full day, if the pump is a significant distance from town this could add another full day and overnight stay for the work crew. In the real world, this means the pump is put some where in the middle of the job with a huge amount of water and leave it there.
TIE Constructions have designed a trailer mounted pump and standpipe combination that is capable of being folded down and carried behind a large ute or small truck with a towing capacity of 3.5 tones. This means the standpipe can be moved as the work crew moves along the job.
All pump / trailer combinations are fully mobile for quick relocation and have the capability of filling an average 30,000 litre water truck in a little less than 10 min. This new design can be fully set up in as little as 1 hour using only 1 person saving major $$ over a hire season.
